Western Digital has released an updated version of its WD SmartWare that resolves issues which caused data loss under certain conditions for those on Mavericks.
Late last month, the company asked Mac users to remove the WD Drive Manager, WD Raid Manager and WD SmartWare software applications from their computers as soon as possible as it 'urgently' investigated reports to identify the issue.
What's New in Version 1.3.6 ● Fixed an issue related to reports of some customers, under certain conditions, experiencing data loss when updating to Apple's OS X Mavericks (10.9).
*Note: If you have a previous version of WD Drive Manager installed on your computer, this software package will automatically uninstall the old version and install a new version.
