It would be cool if I can get install payment without the service. I think their 200MB free for life plan is a gimmick. My brother wanted to try it, so he got a cellular ipad mini but the past couple days their web site to sign up for that plan has been down. At first, he thought that it would be donw only for a few hours or a day, but it's been like that since God knows when...! I want to switch from ATT to TMobile but I get really weak signal at work while at home, I get strong signal as ATT and Verizon so I'm still undecided.
So you pay $70 for unlimited plan. Then $27 for phone. That's $97 plus tx. Fees. And you're at $110. Why not consider Verizon for maybe $15 more per month and get kick @ss service. Either way you have a 2 yr contract. If not to carrier. To the phone
Verizon iphone5s 16GB:
$40 (line access) + $70 (4GB data) + tax ~= $120/mo for 2 years
+ $199.99
Total cost after 2 years is about $3080.
AT&T iphone5s 16GB:
$70 (mobile share plan, 4GB) + $40 (shared devices) + tax ~= $120/mo for 2 year
+ $199.99
Total cost after 2 years is about $3080. (same as Verizon)
T-Mobile iphone 5s 16GB:
$70 (unlimited talk/text/data) + $27 + tax ~= $110/mo for 2 years
Total cost after 2 years is about $2640.
So it comes down to a $440 savings over 2 years and you get unlimited data.
Now you tell me why I should go with Verizon or AT&T.
Because Verizon's LTE is years beyond anyone.
Just compare Verizin to Tmobile and I'd guess Verizon has quadruple LTE towers , quadruple LTE service, so if solid cell reception is what you want then maybe it is worth the extra $400
But if you don't get out much and stay in your area or work from home I guess you can save a little money.
I like having reception on the train when in the tunnel going into NY. No other carrier gives me this.
So to be exact according to your comparisons
It's $18 more a month to be on Verizon and have kick @ss service for 730 days
I guess it's up to you to decide if its worthwhile.
Thanks for that analysis by the way
Very helpful.
you don't know the basic of finance! It is not good deal at all you end up paying $650 for it but two more years from now these phones not even worth it $250 specially 5c that you can buy it now for around 350 in Craigslist no contract attached
You're also stuck in a contract for two years and with at least the basic data plan and if you lose your device your stuck with no insurance no iPad and a reoccurring bill... Plus you paid full price!
