The estimated ship date for the new Mac Pro has slipped to February 2014 after orders for the computer went live last night.
Apple had promised the device would be available in December and indeed customers could purchase the Mac Pro with a shipping date of 'By December 30th' at midnight.
It looks like demand was higher than expected or Apple didn't have large supply of the its professional desktop available. Please follow iClarified on X, Facebook, or RSS to be notified of any changes to its availability.

"Online sales went live less than 24 hours ago and the estimated ship date rapidly slipped from December 30th to February."
Sales went live but not shipping.
I doubt they had any ready to ship.
There were none available in stores and the earliest anybody could have goten one was by December 30.
Any other product at Apple's online store can be shipped in 1 day.
