Wal-Mart to Drastically Expand Electronics Section

Wal-Mart is revamping the electronics departments in its more than 3,500 U.S. stores this week in a battle with Best Buy and Amazon to seize former Circuit City customers, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The larger and more interactive displays should be hitting stores starting on Monday. Wal-Mart plans to showcase the latest mobile phones and netbook and even use standalone displays for popular companies such as Nintendo and Apple.
"Circuit City's business is up for grabs right now and we expect to get our share," said Gary Severson a Senior Wal-Mart VP.
