The iPhone 6 may come with built-in temperature, pressure, and humidity sensors, according to a chief analyst at ESM-China. Sun Chang Xu made the revelation on her Weibo account, which was relayed by GforGames.
According to Sun Chang Xu (news chief analyst at ESM-China), sources close to the matter have revealed that Apple will catch up in the “sensors department”, as the iPhone 6 will feature pressure, temperature and humidity sensors. Please note that the analyst is probably not referring to blood pressure (this feature is rumored to be implemented in Apple's iWatch) but to atmospheric pressure.
Notably, Samsung already introduced these sensors to its smartphones with the Galaxy S4.
Apple is also rumored to be utilizing sensors for its new Healthbook app that tracks fitness levels and vital signs; however, it's unclear if those sensors will be built-in to the iPhone 6 or an iWatch, or whether Apple will interface with third party accessories.
Please follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for more updates on the iPhone 6 as they become available.
