OS Experience Tweak Brings Windowed Multitasking to iPad [Video]

OS Experience is a new tweak from Evan Swick that brings windows multitasking to your iPad.

OS Experience is a window manager that allows multiple apps to be run at once; no longer are you confined to just one app at a time. This allows for the maximum productivity the iPad can deliver, by allowing multiple tasks to be completed at once. It is a must-have tweak for any power user.

Features:
Influenced by Mac OS X, OS Experience not only is a window manager, but also a beautifully-designed multitasking switcher. Similar to Mission Control, multiple desktops can be created for app windows to be separated into for organization, so windows aren't stuffed into one space. Similarly, apps can be maximized to take up an entire space themselves, like iOS normally does. These spaces can then be quickly slid back and forth with multitasking gestures.

Also in the multitasking switcher are live previews. These mirror what the apps are currently displaying, instead of just static snapshots like iOS normally displays. This way, you can quickly check in on an app's status without needing to move to it.

You can purchase OS Experience from the Cydia Store for $9.99

nice graphics and cool concept, unfortunately it does not work, or at least not in the way i use my ipad and switch between apps (think Zephyr / Multiflow) I would like to use the functionality of splitscreen apps (Think Quasar) but cannot really get it to do this (Springboard / Activator cmds issues) again.

Just a warning: I purchased this about 45 mins ago. It worked ok (was a bit weird getting used to it) for a few mins, but then it locked up the iPad. When I went to restart the iPad - It won't boot up. Stuck at the apple logo....no boot method will work to get it back into ios. Its looking to me like I will need to restore and lose my jailbreak. :( Ipad Retina Mini 32 GB Verizon / iOS 7.0.4

Simon, did you try the power, home, volume up method?

In cases like this, I've had success with getting it to recover by running semi-restore while it's stuck in boot loop. It cleans out the phone/pad to stock settings, but retains your jailbreak and current version iOs.

Albert - I actually had just found that on Youtube about 10 mins ago and was trying it - it worked! I have been dealing with iOS devices and jailbreaking them for a lonnnnnnnng time but have never had to use that method, nor have even heard about it! Very awesome to know theres a "safe mode" for jailbroken devices. Thanks for the advice...MUCH appreciated. Now I can boot into it and remove OS Experience and then play with possible conflictions I may have installed.

FYI: I contacted the developer by email (Side note: He's extremely responsive and very cool) and after sending him my crash logs - he immediately identified the issue as a conflict with Springtomize. He is working on a fix for this and other reported issues as we speak.
