15-year-old inventor Suman Mulumudi and his father, cardiologist Mahesh Mulumudi, have developed Steth IO, a stethoscope that is powered by your iPhone.
The device is basically a case for your iPhone that has a diaphragm which captures the sounds of our heart. The sound is then routed through a channel to the iPhone's microphone. An app then captures and visualizes a patient's heartbeat.
Mulumudi demoed the invention on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
