If the whole point in saving an exploit is so we'll get a JB sooner for the major iOS releases, then why does it still take so long for a JB to be released?

Had to say jst a few quick things. Many people forget since the jb last year, so many people have bought new iPhones since & with newer iOS versions on them they have to wait 6-9 months or even more till the next new iPhone release & jailbreak while being teased by dev team with videos showing they have their iPhones jb with the newer iOS versions out making the rest of us wait due to no fault of our own. I bought my 5S in February at an att store and it came with 7.0.3 so I was lucky but if I had to wait till near Xmas to jb it I would be pissed. Hint: if buying a new iPhone it's better to get from att, etc rather than apple as phones from Apple will always be updated before you get it. I'm not going to use the new jb as there's no need to for me but again I was lucky when I bought mine. I'm on the fence as to whether it should have been released but if I wasn't already jb I would be happy it came out. Please people be kind to each other on here.

Pangu: Your the man. Don't worry abt all those idiot iOs 8 waiting people and those bullshit jb leak video. They just jealous that your teams release b4 them and made the headline. Apple release iOs every f*ken month and there's no point of holding off jb if you find a way to jailbreak. Just cuz your Chinese, these ppl doesn't appreciate your release. "Oh God a Chinese release an app - it's gonna be a trap..." idoit racist ppl. I bet 90% of ur stuffs in your household made from China. Or, go tell Apple Mgf to assemble in USA instead of China.

That's the problem with the new "security researchers" that develops the jailbreak tools, they want to keep these exploits as long as they can instead of taking it as a challenge to explore or find new ones if another is/was burned. Come on, lets all be real! Not everyone have the talent or expertise to find an exploit but thats were all these people (security researchers) are for. Everyone have different talents & expertise and if you stay on the same level as you were even a year ago, then you are not progressing. Just take it as a challenge and move on. Create/discover new ones.

You know nothing about exploits. Especially proprietary hardware/software. Jailbreaking iOS is nothing like the old days. Apple, literally has patched 98% of the vulnerabilities in iOS. There's almost no exploits left and the ones that are found, are very rare. Instead, the devs of jailbreaks literally have to 'invent' an exploit in order to jailbreak a device. That's why they don't release bugs until the new updates. Not because they're lazy or stupid - but because there's no bugs left to exploit. The exploits back during the iPhone 2G-iPhone 4 day's were comparable to taking a pickaxe and using it to break glass. They were easy, but you still needed the tools to do it correctly. The protection that exists in Apple's hardware and software is now more comparable to taking that same pickaxe and trying to break through a wall of lead. And before they can even start - they need to find some sort of small blemish in this 'wall of lead' before they can even begin to attempt exploiting the device. The Pangu team have no respect for that fact and just care about getting publicity and getting people to their website so they can make money from ad revenue. They're not hero's - they're villains.

Maybe then u see a lot of improve from 8. But then those with iPhone 7 will bitch at u for not waiting for the release of ios 20 to jb. hahaha stupid ppl. My biggest problem with these idiots is that they not only burned ionics exploit that they had no permission to use, but then they burned yet another exploit for no freaking reason!!!! Just so they could claim they are no longer using ionics exploit!!!!!! That's priceless! I will not be using their jb just on principal! They have hurt the jb scene more than they helped it.

Wow, what a waste. Burning exploits left and right. To all of you saying its no big deal and to release jailbreaks as soon as they are available... what this means is that instead of getting your iOS 8 jail break in a month after release you end up with it 6 months later. I love how stupid the internet is.
JustMe
JustMe - June 30, 2014 at 3:08am
I agree with you both (releasing and saving for later use) but, you know apple.. once they release an update (iOS 8) it's only a matter of hours and they will close the window to update on the previous iOS (7.1.1) there's no going back. We also know apple copies/barrows ideas from jb community and integrates its on future release. Sooner or later all nice tweaks will be on iOS x.x and probably, people will stick and wont jailbreak anymore. imo, if a chance given, why not release if it is safe and secure.

> Sooner or later all nice tweaks will be on iOS x.x and probably, people will stick and wont jailbreak anymore. First: No, "all the nice tweaks" won't ever be included in iOS. Some people prefer their kind of tweaks, other people prefer other kind tweaks. Apple has never been pro-choice so even if they will continue to suck ideas from jb tweaks (basically, a good thing) they will never include all of them, thus limiting the choice WHICH tweaks people actually CAN use (a bad thing). If you cannot jailbreak you are stuck with the way Apple thinks you should use YOUR device. Second: It's idiotic to burn exploits for minuscule .1 upgrades. And anyone who cannot fathom the need for unused exploits when there is a new OS version and a new generation of devices coming within some months is a moron. Try to think, I know you can.

@odedo1 First of all you sound so racist against the Chinese peoples. Only Evad3rs can release the Jailbreak? if you think you are any better why don't you crack the code by yourself and shut up. The jailbreak community might already crack the ios 8 but it might not apply to the new iphone 6 because new device came with (new chips) patches with more security just like the iphone 5s first release.
davids
davids - June 30, 2014 at 3:51am
Peter I really cant see how you can take his comment as racist. I really think you have a chip on your shoulder. The issue is whether or not burning an exploit helps the JB community. Regardless of who does it. Taking your thoughts then if some one criticises anyone, and we know that anyone's race, then they are racist. Now if you criticise me, I am an Australian aboriginal. So any criticism of my post is racist, so that will put paid to your responses to my post as we know you dont like racism and wont of course be racist will you!

What they are doing is releasing clean jailbreaks so everybody will trust them and when people will stop checking that's when they will strike and release a jailbreak full of malwares and who know what else.
Johnb
Johnb - June 30, 2014 at 11:41am
Yep that was a racist remark. I guess when Chinese can do something better for the community of America, then it's a scam for American. Why not tell Apple mgf to assemble iDevice in USA. Don't u scare they might add extra tiny chip to trace u? Or, look at all your goods that u buy, wasn't that made from China? U better watch out hahah Abt waiting for iOS 8, dude get with reality -- Apple release iOS almost every qtr or so. Y bother stress if other dev create jb. U should b happy that jb had another dev joining the community.

I agree with you. My iPhone 5S was jailbroken but then an update in Cydia messed it up so bad that only way to make the phone function again was to update to iOS 7.1.1 thus killing the JB. I might not even want the iPhone 6 because of how stupidly big it is going to be. Maybe the biggest one the 5.5" will be worth it as a mini tablet but the 4.7? For sure not! Not everyone is big with big hands. Apple should have stayed with one small one and released the bigger one as a mini mini tablet. To me Pangu is a kind considerate helpful blessing that I am thankful to because I hate my un-JB iPhone 5S.
