These are instructions on how to jailbreak your iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 4S, and iPhone 4 on iOS 7.1 - 7.1.2 using Pangu for Mac. The Windows instructions are here.
If you aren't already at iOS 7.1.2 we suggest upgrading to the latest firmware using iTunes. You can find download links for iOS 7.1.2 here.
Double click the downloaded DMG to mount it, then drag the Pangu application into the iClarified folder.
Step Two Double click the Pangu application icon to launch the utility.
Step Three The utility will launch.
Connect your iPhone to the computer via a USB cable. You will notice the device is detected by software. Click the large black Jailbreak button to the right of the screen to begin your jailbreak.
Step Four A guide will popup asking you adjust your date back in time.
Tap Settings on your Springboard then choose the General menu.
Select Date & Time from the General menu then tap the Set Automatically switch to turn it to the OFF position.
Press the date and time that appears and scroll to move the date back to June 1st, 2014.
Step Five Once the date has been adjusted, the Pangu app will begin the jailbreak process.
A new Pangu icon will appear on your Springboard. Tap the icon then press Continue when prompted to confirm the launch of the application.
**If you wait too long to launch the app on your SpringBoard, you will see a red message on the Windows app and will need to start over.
Step Six The Pangu utility will continue with the jailbreak. Make sure to keep the device connected and do not close the app.
Step Seven Once complete your iPhone will reboot and you will see Cydia on your desktop!
*A big thanks to the Pangu team and all the others who contributed to this jailbreak.

It only took a couple of hours to figure out, passcode must be removed. I had to delete exchange email account, the email account had a policy from the company to mandate a simple passcode. Once I deleted the email account, Pangu ran perfectly for 7.1.2
Thanks.
You are right.
I did a full restore and the jaibreak from scratch and no issues.
Sorry for the Alert but I am sure it will be useful to somebody else.
If you are experiencing the timeout error. Fix: run pangu, once it says rebooting iPhone do a hard restart meaning hold home and power button til phone cuts off and power back on. This works, some iPhone take longer than others to shut down causing the error.
Hi Pangu developers, I just jailbreaked my IPad mini with Pangu. It was very easy and very quick. Thanks for making us the life easier. But, I do have a small problem. I tried many times to install any apps, but it was not possible to install. Only I got message, unsuccessfully install, error .... Could you help me on this issue. Thnx to everyone.
Tried it several times, get all the way to the end but doesn't seem to put the Cydia app onto spring board.
Says that the jailbreak timed out (after the reboot)
It rebooted but there was no cydia and the pangu app is still there i restored it and tried three times so i think its cause my phone has a password and when i unlock the scree it asks me for my apple id password and i enter it but nothing happens and the pangu app is still there so how do i turn off the password?
I went through the jailbreak process and my phone restarted fine but once i tried to open cydia, nothing happened. when i try to slide the apple logo keeps popping up. Not sure if the phone is rebooting or not. Please help

It was said that with v1.0 it was important to install.
