Apple Introduces MacBook Pro With PROLED XDR Touchscreen [Video]

Apple has shared a new ad introducing the MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR Display, highlighting its tandem OLED touchscreen and the ability to switch between touch controls, the keyboard, and the trackpad.

The one-minute, 57-second spot follows users working on creative projects, including detailed 3D scenes, with a finger reaching directly into the screen to manipulate an object in Cinema 4D. Quick cuts move between the work onscreen and people using the notebook in different settings. The ad is set to "You Wanna Play God" by Subdew.

The new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models announced today are the first Macs with touchscreens. Their PROLED XDR displays offer up to 2,000 nits of peak HDR and SDR brightness and ProMotion refresh rates up to 120Hz, while Dynamic Island brings controls and Live Activities to the top of the screen.

M5 Pro or M5 Max powers the notebooks, with configurations offering up to 128GB of unified memory and 16TB of storage. Apple rates battery life at up to 24 hours, depending on use and configuration. U.S. pricing starts at $2,899, with pre-orders available now and deliveries and in-store availability beginning November 6.
