In this video, we compare the boot speed of the new iPhone Duo against the iPhone 18 Pro Max.
Both phones were running iOS 27.2, and each was filmed separately and timed from the first sight of the Apple logo to the first sight of the time on its Lock Screen. The iPhone 18 Pro Max finished first in 13.30 seconds, while the iPhone Duo took 16.47 seconds.
The 3.17-second gap comes even though Apple's first foldable uses the same A20 Pro chip as the iPhone 18 Pro Max.
We'll be posting more tests with the iPhone Duo; in the meanwhile, check out our previous boot speed tests and be sure to download the iClarified app or follow iClarified on X, Facebook, YouTube, and RSS for updates.
