CarPlay Demoed in 2015 Hyundai Sonata [Video]

Posted July 11, 2014 at 5:59pm by iClarified
Check out this video from MotoMan that demos CarPlay in the new 2015 Hyundai Sonata.

MotoMan heads to Montgomery, Alabama to drive the all-new 2015 Hyundai Sonata off the assembly line - literally. While at the factory, he gives an in depth tour to demonstrate how Hyundai's factory is very differently from others. Last but not least, a guest from our FIRST EVER episode comes back on the show to demo one of the first ever working Apple Car Play integrations in a real, serial production car . . .

CarPlay equipped vehicles are expected this year from Ferrari, Honda, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz, and Volvo. Earlier this month Apple announced that additional car manufacturers have committed to support CarPlay in the future.

Dear Apple, enough of demoing. How about actually letting manufacturers release the precious, almighty, perfect CarPlay?

Apple didn't plan to do it, car manufactor a make their cars differently showing how it looks and how it works. If this was Apple it would be on their site, the videos of carplay. The article doesn't say "Apple demos carplay".

Huh, like Apple allows 3rd parties to demo integration of Apple's product. Even mention it. Buzz for Apple CarPlay is building up way too much, yet manufacturers like Pioneer who promised to deliver this are not allowed to release the firmware to the public. Why? Because Apple.

It takes time, let it be. It's how manufactors work it out.

Well, i bought a new Pioneer head unit under promise of Pioneer delivering CarPlay in "early summer". Seeing Apple allowing hype about their product and not letting Pioneer honor their promise is just frustrating. Then again, it is Apple. And quite frankly Android Auto does look better.

I will judge by how simple it is and how organized both are. Btw when newer car models come out, it's how they work hard to get iOS integrated, that's why it takes time, and so far I looked in different cars on the road to see it and none yet.
