I really doubt they tried to copy it. plus these designs take a while to come up with. I highly doubt that picture came before the picture in samsungs design team. plus they have bendable display technology... how else would a watch look if the screen could bend? its kinda a "you can bend? you HAVE to look like this" a bended rectangle... there's no other way to make a watch. have you noticed that watches are all either circles or squares or rectangles? yea it would be weird if I found a watch that was a star shape or maybe a trapezoid. so yea not that hard to come up with a bendable rectangle design. in fact everything is a copy. the guy who originally made that rendering for apple copied it from someone else or maybe saw an image and copied that! people are not inventors, they are discoverers, they discover what is already possible.

Samsung: "Well, our first two tries at a smartwatch were pretty pathetic in both design and sales. Is our third try going to look something like Apple's upcoming smartwatch? (Jeez, we hope so!)"

And you gonna get burned for your myth. Samsung never had a chance to win once against apple in court so when iWatch comes we all know what will happen.

They made their so called "smartwatch" again based on iWatch rumor specs and just run with it. just to say they made it first.

that's like, their 6th watch? watches died years ago. with these you always end up having to pull the phone out of your pocket.

The only watches that died were the ones with just stick crafted hands like a Rolex related watch.

How can you say that watches died years ago? Are you aware of the billions this industry generates every year? What a ridiculous thing to say.

He's right. Traditional watches, especially high end watches is a billion dollar industry. Traditional watches will never die out. The only watches I see dying are samsungs. Always one flop after another. When one fails they're quick to release another. This one reason why I buy apple products. Apple doesn't just whip shit up overnight like they do, just to say they did it first. They take their time and get it right. Can't wait to see what samsungs watches look like after apple releases there's. I bet the designs will totally change.

Did you even read the article? It's a 3G watch that doesn't need to be tethered to a watch.

Let's be fair. - August 28, 2014 at 10:25am
It actually looks pretty nice, and the features are impressive. Of course I'd choose an iWatch for its interconnectivity with all my Apple devices, but let's be fair and admit that this is a nice product.

Until the release of iWatch. What can this watch do iWatch can't, and in case iFraudup or trolls show up, no I don't want you guys to answer.

Let's be fair... - August 28, 2014 at 2:29pm
The point is that it makes no sense to compare a real product with one that doesn't exist yet, and talk about who's copying who... people can just buy whichever one they like best. If I buy one, it will surely be the iWatch because of the interconnectivity with my all-Apple devices. But the Samsung is still a nice product, much better than the first one. It's not fair to call it shit, it is not shit.

It's like the more apple tries, the more Samsung tries to rush to the finish.

Great! - August 28, 2014 at 8:07am
Two main things to look for: battery life and execution. The watch looks nice from the pictures, but material feel, whether it stands up to daily life etc , usability and the software execution are important and we won't know these until it gets into people's hands.
