Apple has released AirPods Firmware 9 beta 4 to developers. The update, build 9A5336b, is available for AirPods Pro 3, AirPods Pro 2, AirPods Max 2, AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation, and AirPods 4. It replaces build 9A5314b, which was seeded on July 7.
The firmware supports the redesigned AirPods settings interface, an Adaptive mode slider, custom EQ controls, and Siri AI features coming with iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS Golden Gate later this year.
Developers can opt into the beta from the AirPods settings panel on a device running iOS 26, iPadOS 26, or macOS 26 (or later). Once enabled, the firmware installs automatically while the AirPods are charging and within Bluetooth range of the host device.
Apple has not yet released a public beta of the firmware, though recent beta cycles suggest one could arrive in the coming days.
