Apple released iOS 8.0.1 earlier today that brought HealthKit app support and other bug fixes. Unfortunately, it looks like Apple introduced new bugs with the release of iOS 8.0.1.
We received reports that the update causes cell service and Touch ID issues. Users constantly see 'Searching' or 'No Service' in the place of the carrier's text. In addition, Touch ID is completely broken. From what we understand, the issues are centered around the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus -- other iPhone users are not reporting any major issues.
We recommend that users hold off on updating, until Apple releases another update to fix these issues. If you've already downloaded, you can downgrade to iOS 8 for a limited time.

This is what happens when you hire ex-Android developers. I would know, I'm a iOS developer at Apple.

Touch ID & Cell service jacked up on my iPhone 6. Having to restore to iOS 8.0. Just download old OS and select it to restore too.

Steve Jobs would disapprove of all these glitches and problems that's going on. And he would see iphone 6 as a half way job. He would of wanted more features before its release.

You're thinking of an imaginary Steve Jobs, not the one that held back basic features to make future models more exciting.
