Apple may equip the rumored 12.9-inch 'iPad Pro' with a more power A8X processor, according to TechNews.tw via GforGames.
A fresh report from Taiwan suggests that Apple will manufacture an A8X processor, with the help of TSMC, and that the chipset in question will make its debut on the fabled 12.9-inch iPad Pro. The publication also suggests that the iPad Air 2 will sport 2 GB of RAM, and discusses various changes in design that were first rumored back in July, when a handful of images showcasing an iPad Air 2 dummy unit have emerged.
The new iPad is said to feature larger speaker grilles, a smaller camera lens, and a slightly thinner body.
The idea of a A8X chip is not unprecedented. Apple did release A5X and A6X chips in the past; however, a A7X chip was not launched.
Apple will purportedly announce a new iPad Air 2 next month; however, the iPad Pro may not arrive until some time next year.
