In spite of all the hype, I've refrained so far from acquiring this device what with all the overheating, discoloration crap. Is that true? Anybody, somebody????!!!!!!!!
I have owned mine for a month now and have had absolutely no problems... Honestly I think it's a major improvement over the 3g speed is way up video is badass not just the recorder but the video playback you can get from any video games are 3d now run super smooth the ram and proc are beefier.. Just jailbroke as well and I am glad I jumped on this one. It's the best phone I have owned, I have had 6 other iPhones through my hands and I'm holding onto this one!
I would defo recomend getting the phone. It is a great improvement proformance wise over the original 3G. It well fast and menus move smoothly.
Only a few have had over heating problems and this is widely reported causing eeryone to think it's a common occurence on all devices. Using the iPhone is such a pelasure you probably use it all the time causing it to heat up. Afterall it's a computer stashed into a small container. I had over heating on my original 2G phone when I upgraded to the 3.0 software, but after resetting all settings and a reboot it's been cool running ever since.
I have all three versions of the iPhone all running 3.0 and is fine. Just jailbreak the 3GS ands it running excellently.
