Microsoft announced that Windows 10 will be getting expanded trackpad gestures during a keynote speech at TechEd Europe today.
Microsoft’s Joe Belfiore demonstrated new features that will be available to Windows 10 testers in the near future.
"In the past touchpads on Windows have really been done very differently because OEMs do them", says Belfiore. "With Windows 10 we're adding support for power users in a touchpad, where multiple finger gestures, which all of you power users learn, can make you really efficient."
Similar to Mac, a three finger swipe down will minimize all active Windows. A three finger swipe up will bring back the windows. A three finger swipe up with your windows visible will bring up the task viewer, similar to Mission Control (Expose). A three finger swipe left and right will switch between applications.
Notably Belfiore also demonstrated a Windows 10 build with the ability to snap windows side-by-side on multiple monitors. To use the feature, hover an app in the center of the monitor split then move it slowly left and right to see the snap guides.
