After speculation that iOS 8.1.2 was still vulnerable to the TaiG jailbreak, the TaiG team quickly released an updated version that supports the latest iOS version released today.
TaiG notes that the new version of the utility, 1.2.0, supports all devices running iOS 8.0 to iOS 8.1.2.
You can download the TaiG utility for iOS 8.1.2 from here. Since iOS 8.1.2 provides no major changes other than bug fixes, it is not a necessary update.
This solution does not work for me, please refund.
I lost mores than 1 week trying different suggested solutions and it never worked. I already asked for a refund and was asked to pay more to get another solution to replace the unsuccessful one. I still asked for refund and did not get an answer.
I have used cydia to jail break my ipad using ios 8.1.2. But after success my download on ipad, Cydia icon will appear on ipad but after I press the icon it disappeared and my homepage only have iBook and Newstand apps. Even my below icon disappeared too. I was trying to off my ipad and try will it success that my apps icon will appeared perfectly all but to my unlucky all the apps is gone. I having big problem and need a big help to solved it.
ZeroEmission ,
That totally worked! Thank you! Use the ilocalis.com/repo and update like he said and everything seems to be working again! I was getting pissed off with this jailbreak because after downloading the apps I wanted my location services stopped working. Saves me from having to restore my phone again (which is great)
I jailbroke my 5S on 8.0.1 with pangu. Now I try to restore update to 8.1.2 (because I want to jailbreak with TaiG) and keeps saying itunes error 3109.... or something like that and i've tried many many times. Then I went to the setting to reset my phone that way and now it's stuck on the apple logo with the status bar on the bottom doing nothing....This is not the first time i've jailbroken, but i've never run into this!!!
What do I do?????
Yesterday I upgraded to iOS8.1.2 and use the TaiG jailbreak and installed all my favorite apps from Cydia. While testing iGotYa I noticed that the location information was missing. I launched Find My iPhone and the location of the phone was not displayed. I went into Location Services in Setting and there are no app registered for location services. This is happening on both my iPhone 6 and iPad 4. Is anyone else having this problem?
Ok, I restored back to 8.1.2 and ran the TiaG jailbreak on my iPad again and Location services are available for all apps. However, iGotYa is not getting the location information. I will report the problem to the developer.
Well I thought that this issue was corrected but it's not. After getting Location Services back and working correctly, this morning Location Services has reverted back to the same state as before, No location services available. I uninstalled iGotYa and nothing changed. I'm not sure it this is the app that is causing it, so I will restore the system again without installing iGotYa, give it some time since it seems like there is some delay before Location Services fail and see what happens.
I warned you above: "After restoring, wait until an update for iGotYa/libLocation is released to install it again". =) Mine also only presented the issue after rebooting the phone, so, right after you install iGotYa, Location seems to be working correctly, but after a reboot (or after some time in your case), it will fail.
Do the restore/jailbreak again and do not reinstall iGotYa until the bug is fixed!
Here is the fix
In order to solve this problem, we've to update the location library "LibLocation".
Please follow the following steps to update the library in your device:
1 - Add the following source in Cydia: www.ilocalis.com/repo
2 - Update LibLocation
3 - Restart the device
Should you need further support, please contact us again.

to Dude and Dabears: since I don't own any windows box, only macs, linux pcs, and many other unix-like, I'd need to buy one (lol), or bother a friend, or get a preview version of windows 10. That means spending money, or time, or both, and currently I don't have.
And ChuckB .. about "not being able" to code a mac/linux version, the point I'm criticizing is the total lack of collaboration: if the real interest is "delivering a solution to end users", finding someone to put up a bunch of code for a simple mac version would be straightforward (even more considering that actually the jailbreak tool is mainly just sending data via USB, so coding an interface for a different os is really trivial, the easiest part of the job). just saying, evaders and pangu team or many others would be able to insert payload & other informations into their jb-tool interface (e.g. someone did this on redsnow for the limerain exploit after geohot made it public), or merge the 2 tools, or any other useful combined work.. Sometimes the feeling with some teams (that for various reasons rarely get on the top of the hill if not just for a while) is that they just want to put out something before anyone else, it doesn't matter how stable, working, crossplatform it may be, it's just "release it and we'll have our 15 days of fame again". If you can develop a jailbreak, a mac interface for it is a joke, so probably they just didn't care.
DAMN, I MISS THE DEV TEAM AGE SO MUCH.
But well, I'm talking about software development, innovation, user experience and content delivery, definitely in a wrong context.
ATM I'll just stay on 8.1 and keep the pangu8 jb on, since the pangu team kindly released it for mac. It's not that I can't, I don't want to, because being forced to run a certain proprietary os to hack on something it's just wrong.
If TaiG cares of mac users, a mac version will appear. If not, that's all =)
and, for JPW, you're currently the only being one selfish here, because when the problem is solved for you, just fsck others.
It is very inconvenient for not having Mac compatible but find a way. Borrow one of your friends, folks or work PC. That's what I had to do with 8.1 JB. BTW, Thanks TaiG for keeping with the Jailbreak.
