RIM has announced that BlackBerry Desktop Software for Mac will become available in September.

With BlackBerry Desktop Software you'll be able sync your iTunes playlists and personal information like contacts, tasks and appointments; install new software, games, and more. * Add/Remove applications
* Update your device when new software becomes available
* Backup and restore your device data with such features like automatically scheduled backups and optional encryption (security is #1 as always…)
* Manage multiple devices
