On the New Year's Eve edition of the Price is Right, the show highlighted some of its best episodes from 2014. Notable was one where contestants were asked to guess the price of a 16GB iPhone 6 with one year of cellular service.

Amazingly, the first contestant bids $7,500 for the item. The second contestant then looked to best the first and bid $7,501!

Even host Drew Carey expressed his surprise saying, "I hope the marketing people at Apple are watching this. The actual value of the iPhone 6 and one year of cellular service was listed at $1,969.

Or at&t. My mom never looked back at their greedy side since she moved away.

You both are idiots. Mine is barely 1300 a year on AT&T. I never looked back on drop calls and limited signal with Sprint or T-Mobile. Verizon has the most signal but is pricey by around 1500 - 1650. If customer service is not for you then go with Sprint for they will drop you and give you number out at first sign of late payment. If you don't use cloud computing and can handle low upload speed with very specific location to have the proper LTE or HSPA use TMobile... overall it's customer service and working with the consumer that keeps me with AT&T.

They weren't only bidding on the phone. They were bidding on a year of plan as well. So that part might be confusing. The idiot next to her though he was slick too and did the extra $1.

Spot on! Exactly what I was thinking! Typical android users who over estimate apple product's price while underestimate its true value, bought samsung, thinking they got a bargain then had to get a new phone every year. Now the majority of them r finally realizing what's going on either switch up to apple or down to xiaomi and HTC.

Lol. Well, if they had a Samsung then switching to HTC is an upgrade. IPhone is better but HTC is an upgrade from Sameshit Samsung. I can't stand those.

You can tell the lack of intelligence of the contestants simply by looking at them.

Really? $7,000? It would make sense if monthly plans were like $200 plus tax a month.

$200*12= $4800 + $649 = still doesn't make sense.
