Palm has announced that the just released Palm webOS 1.1 re-enables iTunes sync.

Oh, and one more thing: Palm webOS 1.1 re-enables Palm media sync. That’s right -- you once again can have seamless access to your music, photos and videos from the current version of iTunes (8.2.1).

Apple recently released iTunes 8.2.1 which blocked the syncing of Palm Pre devices with iTunes.

iTunes 8.2.1 provides a number of important bug fixes and addresses an issue with verification of Apple devices.

It will be interesting to see how Apple responds to this development...

Apple is so stupid.... Don't they understand that by letting pre owners sync with iTunes they will make more money through store sales?

They will lose money as you will no longer have to buy a ipod to use itunes. You clearly have no understanding of how things all work do you.

Damn, Palm is lazy and dumb. They doing this because they didn't have sense enough the whole time the phone was in development (even when it was a thought) to start getting apps and a music store together.

I smell a lawsuite coming on! Apple clearly indicated that any syncing of other devices other than Apple Products is in violations of their EULA!

Stick it to the man Palm! Kudos to you for doing this. Why Apple turned it off when it can encourage more people to use iTunes as the one source baffles me. The hackers WILL always jailbreak and unlock your source. Let Palm connect and celebrate the fact that more people want to use iTunes I say,.

Apple want more people to use iTunes correct, but they want them to be buying apple devices to do so... I can see where apple is coming from, Yes allowing other devices to sync will get more people using iTunes, but will get less people buying apple devices such as ipods,
