Samsung Unveils New Galaxy A7 Smartphone That's Thinner Than the iPhone 6

Samsung has unveiled its new Galaxy A7 smartphone featuring a 5.5-inch HD sAMOLED display and a thickness of just 6.3mm. That's thinner than the iPhone 6 at 6.9mm and the iPhone 6 Plus at 7.1mm.

The Galaxy A7 is equipped with a multicore processor combining two separate quad core processors, 16GB of memory, 2GB of RAM, and a 2,600mAh battery. The smartphone has a 5MP front-facing camera and selfie features including ‘Ultra Wide Shot’ and ‘Auto Selfie’ modes, which make it possible to take a photograph using only a voice command or a wave of the hand. The device also offers ‘Always Clear Voice Auto Control’ to reduce noise from the surrounding environment, as well as LTE Category 4 support for quick photo and video uploads. In addition to these features, the Galaxy A7 offers a Private Mode, adding an extra layer of security for important files and documents, and Multi Screen app function capability.

In its press release, Samsung touts the A7's metal unibody.

With these devices, Samsung continues to focus on creating smartphones equipped with the slimmest metal unibody on the market today, with comfortable grip for ease of use. NO kidding, Really Samsung, Android 5 has been out for months now, and I am sure Samsung had access to Android 5 for mouths before.

hmm. One year ago, when the iPhone 5s came out in gold, one day later, the s4 came out in gold. The samsung galaxy s5 came out with a fingerprint scanner one month or so after the 5s with youth id. Now, after the incredibly thin 5.5 inch and not-as-bendy-as-we-all-thought iPhone 6 plus came out, the incredibly thin 5.5 inch hopefully not bendy samsung a7 comes out. People say that all apple does is copy samsung......

It would be good if they introduce something new and actually undone. I hate the phone because it's built the same way as before. Look at past models, .2" of the newer screen slightly bigger, this time, copying apples strategy when in irony of Samsung here making points in ads that are generic beyond words yet they have nothing better or new to present even if it's completely ripped off from Apple.
