Apple Watch sales could reach 1 million units over launch weekend, reports Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster. The smartwatch goes on sale Friday, April 24th.

Munster also predicts strong preorders for the device in a note to investors. Apple will tally 300,000 preorders in the first 24 hours, he said in the note.

Munster didn't break out his sales estimates by model. With three collections and numerous bands to choose from, it will be interesting to see which combination comes out on top. Prices for the aluminum Apple Watch Sport start at $349. The stainless steel Apple Watch starts at $549 and the gold Apple Watch Edition models start at $10,000.

Here's a look at the various models you have to choose from.

Is this serious??! Even at the bottom price of $349, I would rather spend that money on something else. Are there some crazythings that Apple Watch can do but my iphone cannot? I don't have that extra money to throw away! Convince me, Apple: why is your watch should be more expensive than the other android wear watches and more importantl, why should we need it?

This is the thing I don't understand why people make a big deal out of it. I'm a normal healthy guy. I work out 3, 4 times a week, no high blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, obese .... I don't need to check my heart rate often, the treadmill tells me how many miles, calories,... and all the stuff I need to know. Or if I work out from home, I run, jog, sit up, lift weight.... until I'm tired or can't do it any more. I don't need those craps! It's cool to have but I'm not gonna spend money for it, I rather spend money on supplement or healthy food that increase my strength, endurance....

This "crap" is revolutionary. It may just help you with meals in the future, but more explanatory, iphone can be controlled by watch, you can draw stuff as a way to reply, and much more.

What? Nobody uses iPad 1. Theres a reason why Apple had to replace iPad 1 with ipad then discontinued the first one. After that iPad 2 been selling well for several years. Only people that still use iPad 1 will be... No one. Even all the apps dont support iPad 1st gen. You smoking crack?

LOL it'll be outdated by the time they sell that many especially with how they setup the terms on buying one ! It'll take a half a year for a customer at a time too look and buy and if they buy ! What a joke

LAWL outdated or not, if you look at past iPhones, outdated today but it has exceeded over million in sales even from the iphone 2 years ago especially with how it took 2 minutes to set it all up as if you were new to Apple products. It'll take real customers a few days before deciding from what suites them, it's called narrowing it down like choice of food for a night. Explain how these take half a year then? What a FOOLish gimmick of yours.

Starting price of $349 on "women" watch which is 38mm. And 42mm version is $399 which i doubt they'll sell 1 million units. Lets be honest, $400 isnt cheap for a watch nor smartwatch. And the people who spend $300 or more on accessories like watches, they pay extra for royalty. But the fact that $400 sports is cheapest version on the line, they'll be forced to buy atleast stainless steel version which starts from $600. Now when it comes to royalty, there is another factor other than just being expensive. For instance, people buy rolex because their time accuracy is superb and it'll survive extreme condition. Thats why Rolex watch's used market is pretty big. But little gadgets like Apple Watch? Better version will be coming out every year or two with the same pricing. And once newer gen comes, older ones lose their royalty since there is samething with better function/components. Nonetheless, i probably buy one just for the gigs. But not the very first gen since they gonna release second very shortly.

If you compare iphone sales to this, it sums up what you expect from sales from any Apple product.
