NAVIGON has updated MobileNavigator for the iPhone with new features and enhancements.
"The free update adds a couple of new features and enhancements to the MobileNavigator. NAVIGON's route planning function known from the companies PND line enables users to plan a route with different destinations ahead of time. Taking advantage of the iPhone's own functionalities, a call POI (point of Interest) function allows to directly call the number of a POI such as a restaurant or hotel by simply clicking on the number. It is also possible to save it to the user's contacts. Furthermore, the update provides an optimized volume control when navigating and using the integrated iPod function of the iPhone at the same time. It also allows to decide which POIs should be displayed in the map view."
What's New In This Version: - NAVIGON's route planning function known from the companies OND line that enables users to plan a route with several destinations - Additional map view options - Call POI function (call the number of a point of interest or save it to your contacts) - POI Filter (allows you to manage the POIs shown on the map) - Optimized volume control when using the NAVIGON navigation and the integrated iPod function of the iPhone at the same time.
NAVIGON MobileNavigator is available to purchase from the App Store for $69.99. It is 1.29GB in size.
I own navigon, and have been using it for a while.
These new updates are pretty good, BUT, they are still lacking one VERY VERY important toggle... the 'toll route' option.
It always tells me to take the Toll routes home, and even though I know its the faster way, i dont want it to compute the faster way using toll routes.
Most GPS have this feature, this one should too
YEAH! I JUST NOTICED THAT TODAY!
ITS AWESOME!
Oh and I tested out the route manager, you could add lots of different locations on your route.
I tested it with 20 different locations all more than 50 km apart from each-other, and it loaded them no problem. And you can even save the route for later usage which is nice.
This GPS app takes the cake baby!
