Apple Seeds Fifth Betas of watchOS 27, tvOS 27, and visionOS 27 to Developers [Download]

Apple has seeded the fifth developer betas of watchOS 27, tvOS 27, and visionOS 27, continuing the testing phase for its next-generation wearable, living room, and spatial computing platforms.



The new test builds carry version numbers 24R5347a for watchOS, 24J5346a for tvOS, and 24M5348b for visionOS. They arrive a few weeks after the fourth round of betas rolled out to developers in late July.


For the Apple Watch, the watchOS 27 cycle introduces a dynamic app grid, a unified Find My application, and new wrist-flick gestures for opening widgets. Because the update lays the foundation for Apple's upcoming Siri AI experience, the company recently narrowed hardware compatibility and dropped support for five older watch models to ensure adequate processing power for the new assistant.

On the headset side, visionOS 27 expands Apple Intelligence on Apple Vision Pro with a 3D Siri visualization that can be placed anywhere in a physical room, alongside Visual Intelligence capabilities for understanding active app windows. Meanwhile, the tvOS 27 update focuses heavily on interface refinements, adding a completely redesigned Podcasts app, a more responsive Control Center, and improved AirPlay reliability.

Registered developers can download the new software directly through the Software Update section in the Settings app on their respective devices. Installing the watchOS update requires using the companion Watch app on a paired iPhone with sufficient battery life. As always, beta firmware is intended for dedicated testing hardware rather than primary devices.
