Apple is preparing to ship the first Space Black, Leather Loop, and Modern Buckle Apple Watch orders, according to reports on the MacRumors forums.
The stainless steel Apple Watch with Space Black Link Bracelet, Leather Loop and Modern Buckle were the last three models of the wrist-worn device that had yet to see movement, remaining in the Processing stage on the Apple Online Store until late Tuesday. Now, some orders have been updated to Preparing for Shipment in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and likely other first wave launch countries.

Ordered 42 with black leather band in local store on 4/25. Just saw update that says 5 to 6 weeks out. Could this still change?

Yes they can :) and they actually have just changed today in a good way. My Apple Watch 42mm black leather loop ship date has changed from 5-6 weeks to 2-3 weeks! My sisters apple watch sport ship date has also changed a lot. It changed from 3-4 weeks to 1-2 weeks.
