Samsung Mocks iPhone's Lack of Wireless Charging [Video]

Posted June 25, 2015 at 5:04pm by iClarified
Samsung has posted a new ad for the Galaxy S6 that mocks iPhone users who still need to plug in to charge their device.

Charging your phone is usually pretty straightforward, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be done better. The Galaxy S 6 and Galaxy S 6 edge come with wireless charging capability built in. The pad is sold separately, so change the way you charge right here: http://smsng.us/WVwD3l

This ad is the fourth in Samsung's latest series of ads attacking the iPhone.

I do not carry those tangled wires. Samsung exaggerates things on Apple. Only lazy people carry their cables tangled! And for damaged cables, it is natural for your cable to get damaged if you're not careful with it. Cables are not elastic. If you pull it a lot, like pulling it like a rope, then you'll damage it. I still have my original cable that comes with the phone and I don't use cheap counterfeits on my gadgets. Samsung is selling their cables for $19.99 for a micro USB when you can get a cable at $4.00 on Amazon! It shows Samsung is hyping things up which they cannot justify with the value of their product.

I surfed the web for days thinking about which device to purchase, the iPhone 6 or Galaxy S6 and after reading and watching severals ads, I ended up with an iPhone 6. Why? Perfection :)

This wireless charging thing that windows and android makers are marketing is a joke. U still have a chord from the charging pad. Until the only thing u need is a "usb-charger like block" that trasmits power at least for 1 meter area, its not truly wileress

By 'mocking' Apple, Samsung is doing a good advertisement to it's rival. You can't change someones opinion or the likeness about something, by laughing at someones incompatibilities :/. When you hold on to something so much, that means they're doing good. Samsung firstly, has to do improvements on it's OS, eleminating those filthy errors you get almost everytime, improving it's responsivity etc. Buyin an Iphone or Samsung has to do with what you care of, what you want. If you want a safe, easy-to-work, fast and reliable phone, you get iPhone. If you want extra things, better camera, long lasting battery etc, you get Samsung. Simply as that!

I don't know... Apple did it from 2006 to 2009 with their "Hi, I'm a Mac, and I'm a PC" TV commercials" (www.adweek.com/adfreak/apples-get-mac-complete-campaign-130552?page=1). Now that a competitor is giving it to Apple, it is ... well, it's not liked. I really like the wireless charging on my Note 3 (AU$3 for the receiver and AU$16 for the base station) and wish I could do the same on my iPhone 5. Apple will probably hold off with the current generation of wireless charging until they are ready to smack us in the face with over-the-air wireless charging, which will be amazing. You can argue all you like that you need to plug the base station into a wall socket, but that's just your jealous side looking for a reason to shoot down the feature in its current form. In all honesty, it would be a welcome feature on iPhone if Apple were to introduce it - I know I want it on my iPhone because I know how well it works on my Note 3.

Still, it's a Samsung; a company so insecure it still needs to validate itself by making fun of the competition.

Lol. That's because it's more than just charge. Wait you plug it to a mFi accessory. And by the way, it's not a micro HDMI, it's a micro USB. Hahaha

Low performance, extra heating These are the problems that most devices on the market are dealing with. Today’s wireless chargers just can’t reach the same level of efficiency as traditional USB charging, so the charging process is slower. Also, the heat generated in wireless charging is higher in comparison with the conventional way of charging. The life of the battery takes a toll, making the user replace the battery more often than norm ans potentially damaging the micro SIM card and components.

LAST TIME I CHECKED, THERE IS MORE CASES OF IPHONE CATCHING FIRE AND INJURYS THEN SAMSUNG. GO READ THE NEWS. THE S6 IS THE FASTEST PHONE ON THE PLANET. ANTUNTU 70000 BENCHMARK BEAT THAT THEN TALK!
iAmMe
iAmMe - June 26, 2015 at 11:36am
If that's the fastest then why are you even here? Maybe you are just sour graping like those Samsung ads? And by the way, it's not about being the fastest, it's about the quality of the device and specially the user experience. Welcome to the age of user experience where specs isn't all about the hardware. Lol

Poor Samsung. I really feel bad for them. They try really hard. What happen when you travel? Do you have to have this big charger station with you? Or will you can take a normal cable, just as the iPhone?

It's a feature. They still have the regular charging port, people here act like there is not charging port.

Another useless accessory by Samsung. How can you use the wireless charger when you're outside? You will still need to plug your phone to the battery pack by usb cable. True wireless charging technology available today is from Humavox (http://www.humavox.com).

Surely it's not wireless as there is a white going to the charging pad. It's still a wired charger but in a different configuration.

Those stations are all over the place. McDonald's has them on the tables. They are made by a ton of different companies.

1. It uses a wire so what's this blind excuse? 2. No matter how long my battery lasts or drains, my Ampy always keeps it full and doesn't need electricity. 3. The more ads they make, the more they show how desperate they care about Apple products.
