Jobs has reportedly held back the tablet release til 2010 but may release a new Apple TV for the holidays, according to the The Standard.
Jobs apparently sees the device as too important to have a less-than-exciting launch, so it will miss the holidays and launch in 2010.
Last week the Apple TV received a price cut and overtime in the Apple TV group suggests that a new model could be here soon.
Sources tell me the Apple TV teams--hardware and software--have been putting in a lot of hours lately. How that translates into a ship date has yet to be revealed.
The Apple TV is definitely due for an update and could see the addition of many new features such as: enhanced content (iTunes LP), networked sharing, blu-ray, cable box functionality, iTunes TV subscriptions, wireless speakers, and even gaming capabilities.
