you need to download text edit pro from the apple site before you can edit the file as the tutorial shows. hope that helps

Question: When I get a text message and leave it without Unlocking the screen, then the iPhone will buzz two more times. Really annoying. Any way to turn that off?

It's the normal behavior of firmware 2.x. You can't change it. I don't know if it's still present on 3.x

Hey guys, check that software solution I mentioned, costs you a minute. asvibra for one long signal, asvibra2 for three short signals. Both available with cydia.

Thoros> It works for me under 2.0.1. As one other stated... the file has moved to System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Celestial.framework

Any word on a solution for an iPhone with the 2.0.X firmware? Because seriously, this is driving me insane!

Ivan > Is it Jailbreaked? Have you installed SSH with Cydia? I'm sure there is a guide on this site how to connect to your iPhone.

I overlooked http://www.sendowski.de/2008/07/24/iphone-notesde-goes-cydia/. The software solution for this problem works also on 2.0 now.

See http://www.sendowski.de/2008/06/12/asvibra2/ for a software solution (1.1.4 only for the moment, though...)

Forget the last two Comments. I did a work around the fact that I couldn't open the file (SystemSoundVibrationPatterns.plist) with out converting it. By going to this site: fttp://140.124.181.188/~khchung/cgi-bin/plutil.cgi Then I had to follow the Windows Tutorial step 15 and 16. Then put it go back to the Mac Tutorial to finish up. Also you will need to Restart you iPhone for it to work.

Ever time I "Open" the file "SystemSoundVibrationPatterns.plist" I get this: bplist00Ó _ConnectedToPowerWDefault_RingerSwitchIndicationÔ YIntensity[OffDurationZOnDuration]TotalDuration#?ð#?¹™™™™™š#?ٙ™™™™šÔ #?àÔ #?Ó333333"*CLVbm{„–Ÿ¨±º What am I doing wrong?

I'm windows user. I used the tool to convert binary .plist -> xml format. I change it as you mentioned and saved the file. Then I can upload the xml file or I have to reconvert in binary format? How? Thanks a lot
