Early benchmarks for the 9.7-inch iPad Pro reveal that Apple has slightly underclocked its processor compared to the 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
TechCrunch Editor in Chief Matthew Panzarino posted his Geekbench results to Twitter earlier today. The 9.7-inch iPad Pro features an A9X processor, same as the 12.9-inch; however, it is clocked at 2.16 GHz compared to 2.24 GHz for the larger tablet.
The 9.7-inch iPad Pro received a single-core benchmark score of 3022 and a multi-core score of 5107. That's slightly less than the 12.9-inch iPad Pro which has a single-core score of 3224 and a multi-core score of 5466.
