Apple's new Mighty Mouse may come with a different name due to a trademark battle that it lost this week.

According to AppleInsider, Man & Machine announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office awarded their company the trademark registration this week.

The company had sued both Apple and CBS for use of the 'Mighty Mouse' name, the same name it used for its own mice.

"Others have used the name Mighty Mouse for their computer mice and have sought registration of that trademark, but now the United States government has spoken," Broumand said. "We look forward to the continuation and expansion of the Mighty Mouse line of waterproof mice.” "

Man & Machine's Mighty Mouse is a dishwasher-safe product that can be easily cleaned to help prevent infectious diseases.

Apple is widely expected to introduce a new multi-touch mouse, evidenced by recent FCC filings.

this is the worst mouse that has ever been made. And the scroll thingy stopped working after 3 days of usage. I can't believe I paied so much for such a bad product.

You should have clean hands before using the mouse's scroll wheel. The scroll wheel goes 360 degrees, with is great because you can scroll to the side, the problem is that because of this its more likely to stop working if you have filth in your fingers. Even so, if you take a moist towel and gently clean the wheel it will start working again. The way I see it, if your not a slob and you wash your hands when you come back from your house, you should have no problem...
