A prototype iPhone 6 running Apple's diagnostic SwitchBoard operating system is for sale on eBay.
The seller allegedly bought the device from a friend.
I bought this item from a friend of mine, it is a iPhone 6 prototype, it has no FCC logos, Serial Number or Imei. From what I know it runs a debugging OS called SwitchBoard and features a red lightning dock port with a serial number of C39NW00KG876.
This isn't the first time prototype iPhones have been listed on eBay; however, there is a good chance Apple will shut the auction down.
If you're interested in the device, it may be a good idea to contact the seller directly. The auction has already reached a $7,100 with 6 days and 6 hours left to go.

If you pay that amount of money for a phone you don't need security forces knocking on your door you need a medical team and a white van with padded walls inside it to transport you to a safe environment so you can't hurt yourself anymore....

It means that Cooker's comment is irrelevant to the story.

eBay will not JUST remove the item from auction they will have Apple "security team specialist" track down the seller of the item and will come knocking on his door requiring the seller to turn over the phone to them or face the music. The "security specialist" will also have about 5 detectives from their local police/sheriff department. I'm speaking from experience
