TD, BMO, and Scotiabank have launched support for Apple Pay in Canada, starting today. The three banks join CIBC and Royal Bank in supporting Apple's mobile payments service.
Last month Apple announced that it had reached a deal with seven Canadian banks including every one of the 'Big Five' to expand Apple Pay in the country.
“We are thrilled that seven of Canada’s leading banks, including … every one of the Big Five, are are bringing Apple Pay to their customers,” said Jennifer Bailey, Apple’s vice-president of Apple Pay
As most Canadians have bank accounts with one of the Big Five banks, Apple has now achieved significant coverage in the country.
Apple Pay is good for taking your money faster, but it will be nice to have the ability to put money right back like deposit from anywhere with the same speed don't you think?
