If people want to wear it they will wear it and use it everyday if it's not worth it to them then they won't. I think the numbers speak for themselves here. I personally were my everyday but I understand how some people would ditch it. You can't convince someone why they should or shouldn't wear and use something that they bought. If it's a great product the people will want it and use it all the time. It doesn't seem to be that type of product right now. Maybe second gen or later will get better user results. Maybe it will just never catch on. Only time will tell. "pun intended"
It's has been catching on and based on what watch os 2 offers, it's getter better and it means wearables will eventually be better. To me, with Mose of these flaws that involve me, it's not too much to deal with and it does a decent job for its main purposes.
I am still wearing my Apple iWatch. I love it and it's functionality. I have never encountered a problem with battery life and find it always still in the green when I go to sleep at night. I do regret that more Apps have yet to give me the full functionality that FB Messenger and iMessage give. But that is their loss. I use those Apps less. Not the watch. Step up or get out of the game in my opinion.
Hog wash, the real reason people abandon there watch is because they are liker all the rest of disposable duo'sb that expected to much to fast. I had watches before they came so "popular" dual Sims 4g and was bored after a while. These were stand-alones, the ones thing that strikes me is that the Apple watch has allot going on fort it. I for one will not get bored with this one haven't since I got mine. There's many years and room fort it took grow. This is the first product that I can really say is very good.
I bought the apple watch to remind my iPhone to me if I leave it somewhere but I was totally shock we it did not tell me or beeb me when it disconnected from my iPhone
As an early adapter of most apple products, I bought my apple watch in the first week it was available and I was very excited about it for the first few months. But after the initial excitement wore off, I realised it couldn't really do much and the constant "tapping" on my wrist started to bother me so I got disenchanted with it and stopped wearing it for a while, but then I realised there really isn't a better watch that is as stylish, and does as much as the apple watch so I started wearing it again and expecting less from it. I am very happy with mine right now and I have bought a charging stand for it which is perfect for using it as a nightstand. I do charge mine every night, but I don't always have to. Standalone features would be nice, especially apps! None of the apps work if my iPhone isn't in range and that is a huge disappointment. I look forward to Apple Watch 2 but am not sure if I will buy it. Perhaps watchOS 3 is what I should be looking forward to.
I shelved mine after 12 months. I'm now sporting the Urbane Second Edition. It looks like a real watch, has its own SIM and I can surf the internet, use Google Maps to give me directions, make and receive calls...all while my phone stays home. I can even put name brand watch faces on it! I love, love love it over my Apple Watch.
Pebble was game changing and Apple Watch is refining that product. I love it more than other smart watches and I wear it daily. I hope there are great improvements to the Apple Watch 2 like stand alone ability, wifi, SIM card slot, automatically recognize I'm working out, unlock my car with geofencing sensor, and better battery life. Smart watches have only tapped in to 5% of their potential.
I had it for 13 days and returned it on the 14th in time fire the return policy. I loved and hated it, it's was too buggy, my notifications wouldn't show up on either device sometimes which isn't good, the battery life wasn't fantastic, it was a bit too thick, I didn't like charging it every night, I was worried also about just another device getting scratched/cracked/water damaged. I think Apple Watch 2 will work out for me if I end up staying with my iPhone 6S
I've the Apple Watch for a year. I love it. It's heart rate is very accurate when compared to other devices I've tested it with. I just wish it was more water resistant, so you could swim with it. It would also be better if it had a GPS chip in it too. It's better than a Fitbit, have a friend with one that clocked up 7000 steps while driving in the car for 6 hours - what a joke that device is!
I had an Apple Watch for 3 months then I got rid of it because I hated charging it every night and it wasn't the most comfortable thing in the world. I had no use for it other than to use it in school.
The AWatch cannot track workouts better than the #FitbitHR. You have to be pecking on the darn thing, rolling the crown, steering it to track exercise progression, yadayadayada! The heart monitor is inaccurate and you have to tell it to track you sleep and tell it enemy not. The Fitbit just does it all without commands and wasting valuable gym mins. AWatch good for wireless music only, you know like a Nano, cause w/o the phone it's utterly useless.
I don't see a problems even by connectivity. I use my iPad to connect with my iPhone via hotspot lte and I feel the same there as I do with the watch, the battery isn't too much if a problem, and the rest lives up ranging from average-perfectly.
