TomTom for iPhone Gets Updated to v1.1

An update to the TomTom navigation application for iPhone is now available in the App Store.

What's New In This Version:
Enhanced GPS technology
- Shows your location on the map with greater precision
- Follows your car more accurately while you drive

New "Navigate to contact" engine:
- Handles many more address formats including abbreviations
- Better supports US addresses

Unfortunately, there is still no live traffic capabilities...

The US version costs $99.99 and uses 1.21GB of space.

For those who previous purchase navigation map: tomtom navigon..... Do they get free update? Seen like they get update every 6 or 8 weeks.

hey tom tom how about you update the software so that the ipod lowers its volume when a turn is coming up instead of pausing the music. its really too distracting and should not be too hard. I totally regret getting the tom tom kit and should have gotten the navigon app with text to speech and ipod volume support.

I hear ya! The TomTom app was a huge fail. I couldnt believe how poorly it worked and how ugly it is. You'd think for the price they charge it would be the most polished GPS app. But Navigon and AT&T's Navigator blow it out of the water in soooo many ways.
