Apple is preparing to release a new 7.9-inch and 10.1-inch iPad Pro and update its 12.9-inch iPad Pro in spring, according to a report from Macotakara.
The larger 12.9-inch model is said to gain a 12MP camera, True Tone flash, and the True Tone display already found on the 9.7-inch model.
Apple will also reportedly unveil a new 7.9-inch iPad Pro that gets a Smart Connector, quad speakers, a 12MP camera, True Tone flash, and True Tone display.
The 9.7-inch model will purportedly get a slight display size boost to 10.1-inches which results in an increase of 1cm in length and 0.5mm in width. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously predicted it would increase to 10.5-inches.
All models of the iPad Pro are said to get quad microphones and keep the headphone jack. They are expected to ship in spring 2017.

It's not going to happen on the iPads at all. It may be because of how much the screen can handle for pressure.

I feel they are losing compared to Surface Pro.

Pfft. The iPad Pro already outsold the surface Pro and Is ranked high in customer in satisfaction. I'm now seeing schools use it and some students in my college use it.

Even thought I JUST got my iPad Mini4 this last February and would LOVE to have a Mini Pro Pad. I'll be able to get an Apple Pencil and NOT have to worry about spending $700 for the Pad itself.

I can't wait for the new iPad mini 4 upgrade. The 7.9 inch Pro has name written all over it. It's big enough to see everything necessary, but small enough to take with you everywhere without looking like a complete tool. Plus the tablets fit perfectly in the back pockets of most of my jeans. (Men jeans) good move on apples part to keep the 7.9 in iPad alive. I use my Mini 4 everyday!

Interesting, I wonder what the next name will be, they're obviously copying their MacBook line names

It seems like introducing the "pro" model was just a way to increase the base price of iPads
