Update to Old Jailbreak and Unlock Tutorials

I just wanted to mention that I have updated the jailbreak and unlock tutorials now that the 1.1.3 firmware has been released.

Prior to the update the tutorials required you to click the update button to install 1.1.2 on your iPhone. Now since 1.1.3 has been released simply clicking update will NOT work. You have to option/shift click the update button and select 1.1.2 ipsw file directly.

The tutorials have been modified so there is no concern with following them... and again... PLEASE DO NOT UPDATE TO 1.1.3 YET!

RE Rinco's comment: same goes for me- I am told I need to oktoprep (although I have), and then, when I get to the jailbreak- step, it doesn't work. I have successfully done the soft upgrade to 1.1.3 on previous phones (1.1.2 OTB), but now it doesn't seem to work on my own phone....suggestions towards a solution?

So does that mean if i have a xxx50xxx bootloader i can jailbreak my iphone to become an itouch. but still cant use it as a phone?

Hi. i downloaded the 1.1.2 firmware and pressed shift+update and installed the software on the phone. Now it says that I didn't install OktoPrep, but I definitely did.. That is because of the downloaded firmware, because my other iPhone was updated thgough iTunes and worked right away with the jailbreak. Can you help me out? Thx

I updated before i read this, but luckily it didn't brick my phone. of course all the jailbreak stuff is gone, but i figure you'll get things updated soon. thanks
