Apple's new BeatsX earphones may be delayed by least 2-3 months, according to an email sent from BHPhotoVideo.com to pre-order customers.

This email is being sent in regards to your order for 1 of the Beats by Dr. Dre BeatsX In-Ear Headphones (Black).

We regret to inform you that the manufacturer has informed us that they still do not know when they will begin shipping this item but they do know that it will take at least 2-3 months. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this delay has caused you.

Apple has also delayed its much anticipated AirPods, missing the holiday shopping season. Recent reports have suggested that this delay is due to a manufacturing issue at scale.

I would bet that the BeatsX are ready to ship, but Apple being Apple would never release this product before the AirPods. And yes I realize that both are Apple, but the Beats brand are probably considered inferior (at least internally). I guess I will have to continue to patiently wait for the BeatsX to be released.

Moral of the story... don't buy earphones from apple
