AT&T is increasing the price of their legacy unlimited data plan again, DSLReports has confirmed.
In February 2016, AT&T bumped the price of the plan from $30 to $35/month. Now it's going up another $5/month.
"Our Mobile Share Advantage plans and our AT&T Unlimited Plan provide several benefits that our legacy unlimited plan doesn’t," AT&T said in a statement. "If you have a legacy unlimited data plan, you can keep it; however, beginning in March 2017, it will increase by $5 per month."
AT&T has been trying to get users off its unlimited data and been fined by the FCC for misleading its customers about unlimited mobile data plans.
Absolutely unbelievable . The FCC should go after them again, they will undoubtedly keep raising the price to be equal to the other plans eventually. This is absolutely reprehensible they get with this , let alone claiming unlimited internet regardless if you could download 20gb a data 7 years ago or not.
can i take my phone to cricket if i have a older AT&T IPHONE 6. my contract is over so I think I'm gonna jump ship to save some money. I still have the unlimited data and my bill use to be like 75 bucks now its like 100 and something.
Yep, I called them last time they raised the price and had them cancel my contract without ETF, but kept my line active because I was not ready to switch carriers yet.
I am now month-to-month with them and still have grandfathered unlimited plan.
This new increase is nonsense.
