Tesla has hired away another key employee from Apple.
Just a day ago we discovered that Tesla nabbed Chris Lattner to lead its Autopilot engineering team. Today, we learn that Matt Casebolt, a key designer behind the MacBook Air, Mac Pro, and MacBook Pro with TouchBar is also leaving Apple for Tesla.
Casebolt is now the Sr. Director of Engineering, Closures & Mechanisms at Tesla. His LinkedIn profile indicates he started Tesla in December 2016.
Apple and Tesla are engaged in a bit of a poaching war with each company trying to recruit talented employees from the other.
Maybe Tesla will take Cook too? LOL, no they are not that stupid. Well, Cook seemed to be OK fit at the beginning but once Apple started to satisfied ONLY teens (more emoji icons, less and less hardware options for seasoned users) things started to sink. There is still another hope for Apple if they get their act together and start producing equipment that more experience users will appreciate. I hope they do analyze stats and make right decision. There will be no much more chances to fix this situation. Will today's teens stayed loyal Apple customers or will they move to another platforms is way too high of a risk. Both types of customers are necessary but it seems Apple completely ditched and betrayed parents of millennials.
