Amazon has lowered its free shipping minimum to $35 to counter Walmart. It was $49 previously.
All orders of $35 or more of eligible items across any product category qualify for FREE Shipping. Orders including $25 or more of eligible books also qualify for FREE Shipping
The move follows Walmart announcement of free two-day shipping on more than two million items without a membership fee and free shipping to home for orders $35 and up.
Amazon's free two day shipping still requires a Prime membership. More details at the link below...
So I am confused I have always and still do get prime(free 2day) shipping on orders even down to $10 sometimes a little lower. Was I grandfathered in since I signed up from day one of prime?
No, this is for non-Prime shoppers. Prime we already had 2-day free (for "Prime eligible" items regardless of cost), plus same day in certain locations for $35+ orders.
Non-Prime eligible items, you pay whatever shipping the seller is charging (sometimes free). There are also "Add-on" items that are only shipped with larger items.
Just found out that diapers are cheaper with a Prime membership (and subscribing to the product). Plus we get the videos, music, photo storage, etc.
Same thing i was thinking and that was only 2 or 3 years ago. Was 25 for longer than it was 35 and even long than 49? Which i dont remember 49 so theres that haha
