Check out these renders of the iPhone 8 allegedly based on 'real blueprints' seen by Benjamin Geskin.
My source showed me real blueprints, 3D model, etc. With all the details. I can't share those but was able the create this renders. It's 1:1
The prototype iPhone 8 purportedly has a 4mm bezel on all four sides of the front display. Touch ID and the front facing camera are said to be embedded into display. This differs from another prototype whose schematics allegedly leaked recently. That prototype had a larger bezel on the top and bottom with the earpiece and front camera in the top bezel and the Touch ID sensor on the back of the device.
Claimed Features: ● Front-facing Touch ID beneath the display. ● 4mm bezels around the entire edge of the device. ● 2.5D contoured glass on the front and back of the device surrounded by a metal frame. ● Wireless charging. ● Same dimensions as the iPhone 7. ● 5.8″ OLED display. ● “Invisible” front-facing camera hidden underneath the display. ● Large power button featuring two points of contact. Reason unknown.
According to Geskin, there are two main prototypes being tested by Apple right now. The other is allegedly being considered because there have been issues embedding the Touch ID sensor into the display.
Unfortunately, we can't confirm any of these claims but check out the renders below and let us know what you think of the design in the comments!
I can live with this, at least it doesn't look like any other android phone, and they did what samsung couldn't or didn't want to do which is giving us the FINGER on the screen I mean the fingerprint scanner, inside a 4mm frame oh please no.
These are renders, can be just wrong, there's no way to tell now. Best to wait till some real leaks to have a real idea on how will the new iPhone look like.
looks the same as what we have since iPhone 6 except there is no home button. But I do like the home button. And I like to have the option to plug in headphones and speakers via standard headphone jack (not via crappy bluetooth and not via crappy lightning adapters)... Also I like to have areas where I can hold that phone while the screen is on without triggering an action... Not going to buy something like this.
If the screen is off it looks exactly and I meant EXACTLY like my iPhone 6 Plus or a six or anything in between the same reason I didn't want the 7, and before that the 6S is as good as Apple was under Steve Jobs in creative design, it looks like just another variation on an by coming November FOUR year stop in newly daring design. Apple used to be interesting, now since the fore mentioned iPhones 6 and 6 Plus they seem to have reached a standard from which every new iPhone, however different in technology and almost bezel less displays being introduced, it still isn't the slightest bit as sexy as the enormous leap in design once made from 3 GS to my all time favorite in design terms, the iPhone 4. I thought curved edge to edge glass or some sort of crazy scratch free plastic displays were promised or at least predicted. For this one will go for me exactly the same as the 7 and 6S: thanks, but no thanks: looks too much like the one I already have had for almost 4 years now. Make something "sexy" like the in nothing like its predecessor looking 4 and show that to me, I might change my mind.
That's a sweet design, take my money if it's anything like that. I've always hated the wasted top and bottom space on my iPhone. Edge to edge display is awesome. Hopefully it happens.
