Google has updated its Allo messaging app with several improvements including Incognito mode for group conversations, improved notification settings, link preview, and more.

An update is already available from the App Store.
What's New In This Version: • Notification settings: Go to one place to manage your notifications. Choose the ones you want, and turn off the ones you don't want to see. • Incognito chats: Now available for your group conversations. • Bug fixes: Performance improvements for a better chatting experience.

It's upsetting that Apple will not bring over iMessage and FaceTime to the Android platform. I have lots of friends and family that use Android based devices. If they're so about connecting people together then that's a missed opportunity.
