
Ikea Smart Lighting Will Support Apple HomeKit, Alexa, Google Assistant

Ikea has announced that its Smart Lighting solutions will support Apple HomeKit, Alexa, and Google Assistant.
In the summer and autumn, IKEA takes the next step towards the smart home. With increased functionality, IKEA's smart lighting range can be used with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit and Google Assistant, which means that you can voice-control your lighting.
"With IKEA Home Smart, we are challenging everything that's complicated and expensive with the online home. By ensuring that our products work with others on the market, we take another step to meet people's needs and make it easier to interact with the products for the smart home, "says Björn Block, IKEA Home Smart Asset Manager.
Ikea says this summer and fall, you'll be able to connect your smart lighting with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, and install and adjust its lighting using the Apple Home app and make it work with other accessories used with HomeKit, Google Assistant, and Amazon. Alexa - for example thermostats, door locks, sensors, ceiling fans, awnings and other.
"We think technology for the smart home should be accessible to everyone. Therefore, we continue to make sure our products work together with others on the market," says Jeanette Skjelmose, Business Area Manager for Lighting and IKEA Home Smart.
