Check out this image shared by David Barnard of the iPhone 2G screen overlayed on the new iPhone X, comparing the screen resolution of the very first iPhone and the 10th anniversary device.
The entire home screen of the original iPhone (320x480 pixels) is about the size of 2 icons on the iPhone X home screen (1125x2436 pixels).

From apple; thank you to Samsung and LG for your innovation of OLED screen for iphone x, even though your tvs and phones had OLED screen years before us.
Dear apple, Thank you for letting us copy you in every move we do. Especially naming our products and making them look like yours. Thanks again for letting us do this every year and say it's ours.
Perhaps they should thank Samsung for the higher screen resolution after all it's them that design and manufacture the OLED screens. Original ones were supplied by Sharp so deffinately a lot better now as their coming from Samsung now.
