Pixel density matters a lot if not enough power is provided to handle the extra load. Take Samsung's method for handling its screens: they are always pushing for insanely high resolutions, yet their chips aren't fast enough to cope with it.

Does the size of the screen/display affect performance thereby giving the iphone 8 and 8+ advantage over the X is comparing raw figures like this ?
