Angela Ahrendts Says Apple Won't Try to Upsell Customers to the iPhone X [Video]

Posted October 20, 2017 at 7:56pm by iClarified
In an interview with CNBC, Apple SVP Angela Ahrendts reveals that the company won't be trying to upsell customers to the iPhone X. Rather than pushing its most expensive smartphone, employees are to try and help customers find the right device for their needs.

"Internally we said the tagline was 'an iPhone for everyone,'" she said. "I prefer that we ask you who you're buying it for. If they're 6 or 7 years old, what do they need? If it's someone who's leaning into something else, what do they need? We do that with Mac, we do that with iPad, why wouldn't we do that with [the] phone?"

Apple now has eight iPhone models in its lineup including the iPhone SE, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X.

Apple opened up its 497th store today on Michigan Avenue in Chicago. Check out the beautiful design in the video below!

Until Android has iMessage or something mainstream like that (hangouts isn't mainstream like iMessage sadly) then people will still buy iPhones. That's why I'm stuck with iPhone.

No one in the US that I know uses WhatsApp. Its pointless when SMS and iMessage are available and the standard in the US. If Android ever got iMessage then I'd switch in a heartbeat. Messaging on iPhone is second to none.

Apple Policy nowdays about exclusive and top buyers is getting for the wrong way... They say about Apple Gold Watch "we have problems to sell it"... but the real thing I think it was: "Only a few ones bought because they prefer a 24k Gold Rolex or IWC who will work FOREVER instead of a piece of tech". Wrong a Mac Pro non upgradeable, wrong a super Expensive macbook pro because of retina display, and, again, non upgradeable... Technology is not Clothing...
