After putting the iPhone X through its durability tests, SquareTrade Labs says it's the most breakable, highest priced, most expensive to repair iPhone, ever.

Cool story, bro... these guys being an insurance company, they'd want you to have your iPhone X insured (with them). You all wanna see a legit, real-world tests? Look EverythingApplePro up at YouTube, the guy tried a number of drops and no apparent physical damage (Face ID became unavailable.) Bottom line? The iPhone X is a seriously expensive device, do what you can to keep it safe. Don't let fear dissuade ya from ordering it :)

Based on my assessment, you are correct about the video posted here. This company being a phone insurer will try to depict a scenario where the phone is more likely to break. In EverythingApplePro he was using a polished concrete surface, and in the above it is a sidewalk setting. The minerals in the concrete are not fully exposed so the durability on polished concrete is more tangible than on the side walk. A sidewalk has a mix of minerals which can easily cause abrasions and lesions on a sapphire screen - such as the iPhone's. Once the micro-abrasions the likelihood of compromising the surface is greater. The lesson here is, if you are outside a lot, the likelihood of breaking it are a lot higher than if you were to be a person who spends most of their time inside a facility with polished, leveled flooring.

valid points. But I still think making a 6 foot drop is not a normal drop. I would have like them to show tests from 3 feet and gradual 1 foot increase. I still think ST makes sure that they get the worst possible result so they scare people into buying insurance. Don't take me wrong as I have done so on my last 2 devices. From my own experience the highest drop that happened to me was no more than 4 feet and one of them was on tile
