Apple Sees 71% Increase in Traffic on Cyber Monday

The Apple Store saw a 71% increase in visits on Cyber Monday 2009 versus 2008, reports the Washington Post.

According to stats from Experian Hitwise, the Apple Store did well but was unable to break into the Top 20.


Amazon topped the list as the most visited retail website yesterday capturing 15.53% of the visits among the top 500 online retail sites, a 44% increase in visits compared to 2008.

Wal-Mart was the second most visited with 9.54% of visits followed by Target with 5.16%, BestBuy with 3.56%, and JC Penney with 2.58%.

Coremetrics reported that online retailers saw a 13.7 percent increase in sales compared to last year.
